West 28th vehicle collision)

Officers with LRPD’s 12th Street Division received a call to a vehicle collision in the 5800 block of West 28th Street on Tuesday, September 13, 2022.  When officers arrived they located a vehicle driven by Thomesha Miller, 24, of Little Rock, that had struck a tree. Ms. Miller began yelling for help; however, the victim in the passenger seat, John Duggon, 30, of Little Rock, was unresponsive. MEMS and Rescue arrived and began treatment; however, Mr. Duggon was transported to St. Vincent’s Hospital where he later died. The other two passengers in the vehicle with Ms. Miller and Mr. Duggon were juveniles.  They were treated at Children’s Hospital with non-life-threatening injuries. The coroner later responded to the hospital and transported the body of Mr. Duggon to the State Crime Lab.

Accident Reconstruction Officers were called and the driver of the second vehicle, Colin Connelly of Little Rock, was uninjured, and gave a brief statement.  Ms. Miller was able to give one as well.  She stated she lost control of here vehicle and hit a tree.  Along with statements, both drivers gave urine samples.  This investigation is ongoing and next of kin has been notified.
