Central Arkansas Water to host inaugural Water Summit with Little Rock and North Little Rock elected officials

LITTLE ROCK — Central Arkansas Water (CAW) has scheduled their inaugural Water Summit with the Little Rock Board of Directors and the North Little Rock City Council for 5 p.m. Thursday, September 5, 2013. The location of the meeting, which is open to the public, will be at the Metroplan Offices at 501 West Markham Street, Suite B, in Little Rock.

“As a water system serving the Little Rock-North Little Rock metropolitan area, the Water Summit will bring together the Central Arkansas Water Board of Commissioners, Little Rock City Board of Directors, and the North Little Rock City Council in an attempt to raise awareness on local and regional water issues and discuss near and long-term policy issues such as water rates/pricing and future water sources and needs,” says Graham W. Rich, P.E., BCEE, “Hopefully, this meeting will serve as a catalyst for future meetings to discuss these important policy issues.”
