STREET CLOSURE NOTICE
PINE VALLEY BETWEEN MCKINLEY & WEST CLOSED JANUARY 19–30
(Little Rock, AR—January 16, 2009) Little Rock Public Works Department reports temporary closure of Pine Valley between McKinley Street and West Street from January 19th through the 30th.
The closure is necessary because new sewer lines are being installed as part of a large sewer rehabilitation project in the neighborhood.
The street will be closed each day from 9:00am to 3:30pm Monday through Friday. All excavations will be filled or steel plated at night. A detour route will be provided using Beacon Street.
Motorists in the area are encouraged to use extra caution in the area because of utility workers as well as drivers unfamiliar with the closure. In addition, though the street will be open at night on weekends, motorists are encouraged to drive with care due to the presence of metal plates in the street which can cause an uneven driving surface.
