LITTLE ROCK, AR)- Tickets go on sale June 1 for the monumental exhibition World of the Pharaohs: Treasures of Egypt Revealed on view at the Arkansas Arts Center September 25, 2009, to July 5, 2010. Tickets are timed and dated for entry. Advanced purchase is recommended.

World of the Pharaohs explores the long-vanished world of ancient Egypt through art and artifacts that span over 3,000 years of dynastic history. More than 200 magnificent objects, including mummies, a majestic colossus of Ramses the Great, Egyptian art, jewelry, statues, sculptures and funerary artifacts, illustrate the life and art of ancient Egypt.

World of the Pharaohs is the largest exhibition to ever be held in Arkansas. The Arkansas Arts Center will extend its hours September 25, 2009, to July 5, 2010, to accommodate visitors to the exhibition. The show will be on view Tuesdays from 9:00 a.m. until 8:30 p.m.; Wednesday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. until 5:00 p.m.; and Saturdays and Sundays from 9:00 a.m. until 6:00 p.m.

Admission to World of the Pharaohs is $22 Adults; $20 Seniors (60+); $18 College Students with ID; $15 Military with ID; $14 Youth; and Free for Children 5 and under. A companion audio tour is available for $5.

Special ticket packages are also available. The Gold Package includes admission and audio tours for two adults for $47. The Pharaoh Family Pack includes admission for two adults and two youth for $64 without audio tours and $80 with four audio tours.

Group Tour discounts are available for groups of 10 or more. Group tickets are $17 each. A companion audio tour is available for $3 each with a group tour booking. All group tours must reserve tickets in advance by calling 501-372-4000.
