Sustainable business practices are making a big difference – on the bottom line. Recycling, smart use of energy and decreasing a waste stream are saving companies money. That’s the message that will be the focus of this year’s Sustainability Summit. Guest speaker Pam Alabaster will tell the audience how she convinced L’Oreal to go green because it would save them money in the long run. Of course, all of these measures are also important to the environment and the health of our citizens as well.
For many years, being environmentally conscious and generating profits seemed to be at opposite ends of the overall conversation about sustainability. But as time has passed, it has become possible to attain both goals.
The Sustainability Summit will take a good hard look at this trend by holding a panel discussion with business leaders from AT&T, Wal Mart and UAMS, present Sustainable Business Network Awards, and hear first hand from L’Oreal’s Pam Alabaster.
There are still a few seats available. The event, including lunch, is free. To register please send your name and email address to: SustainabilitySummit@LittleRock.gov.
