Media Advisory

(Little Rock, AR – December 20, 2012)

Due to last night’s storm and today’s high winds, many stop lights in the City of Little Rock have not been operating properly or at all. These include:

  • Bowman and Chenal
  • Bowman and Heritage
  • Bowman and Kanis
  • Shackleford and I-430 North
  • Chester and 7th, 6th, 5th and 4th
  • I-630 and MLK
  • 7th and MLK
  • Bowman and Hermitage
  • Cantrell and Southridge
  • Cantrell and Pleasant Ridge
  • Cantrell and Pleasant Ridge Towncenter
  • Rodney Parham and Systematics

The Public Works Department has placed all four of its generators at the following locations to provide power to the stop lights:

  • Cantrell and Kavanaugh
  • Cantrell and Reservoir
  • Markham and Corporate Hill
  • Rodney Parham and Woodland

Work continues to get power back to all of the stop lights as soon as possible. In the meantime, drivers need to remember that State law states that if a traffic signal is not functioning, that intersection should be treated as a four way stop.
