[LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS] – On April 11, Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola and DuPont Public Affairs Manager, Ms. Mary Kate Campbell, will recognize four (4) Little Rock Science Educators as DuPont Office of Education Scholarship Recipients.  Scholarship recipients received trips to the National Science Teachers Conference in Boston, Massachusetts in April, 2014.

The Following Science Teachers will be recognized:

Mr. David Estes, a highly regarded science educator from Catholic High School, Little Rock, Arkansas, attended the National Science Teachers Conference in Boston, MA, April 3-6 as an NSTA DuPont Office of Education Sponsorship recipient. 

Dr. Tina Hendrickson is a Chemistry instructor and Science Department Chair from Mt. Saint Mary’s Academy, Little Rock, Arkansas, and attended the National Science Teachers Conference in Boston, MA, April 3-6 as an NSTA DuPont Office of Education Sponsorship recipient.

Ms. Kristy Kidd is a Milken Award winning science educator from eStem Public Charter School, Little Rock, Arkansas, who attended the National Science Teachers Conference in Boston, MA, April 3-6 as an NSTA DuPont Office of Education Sponsorship recipient.

Mr. Leslie Williams is Chairman of the Science Department and a highly regarded science educator from Little Rock Parkview High School, Little Rock, Arkansas.  Mr. Williams attended the National Science Teachers Conference in Boston, MA, April 3-6 as an NSTA DuPont Office of Education Sponsorship recipient.

For K-12 education, the DuPont Office of Education supports quality science programs where DuPont operates.  It sponsors The DuPont Challenge Science Essay Competition annually and actively partners with national programs including Science Olympiad and the National Agriscience Teachers Ambassadors Academy to interest young people in science, agriculture and engineering careers.
