LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (July 12, 2016) – The City of Little Rock’s Small Business Development Office, in partnership with the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center at UALR, is holding a workshop specifically geared toward Hispanic entrepreneurs.
The workshop, which will be held from 5:30 – 8:30 p.m. Saturday, July 23, at the City’s Southwest Community Center, will be taught in Spanish. It is free and open to the public, although registration is required.
Participants attending the workshop will learn about the requirements for owning a small business in Little Rock. The trainer will also provide marketing and financing tips.
“Many of our City’s Spanish-speaking residents aspire to be small-business owners but encounter challenges along the way, as do most entrepreneurs just starting out,” Small Business Development Office Coordinator Chauncey Holloman said. “We are offering this workshop as a way to alleviate the language barrier for our Spanish-speaking entrepreneurs so they can better access the wealth of resources we provide at the Small Business Development Office.”
