LITTLE ROCK, Ark. — The City of Little Rock’s Small Business Development Office and the Arkansas Small Business and Technology Development Center are hosting Startup in a Day from 8:30 a.m. – 4 p.m. Tuesday, Aug. 2, at the Willie Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center.
Five areas essential to small-business success will be covered in the daylong workshop for budding entrepreneurs. Those include business requirements, insurance matters, record-keeping basics, business financing and legal incorporation.
“By incorporating all of these elements into one day of instruction, we are able to give participants many of the tools they will need to take the next steps in entrepreneurship,” Little Rock’s Small Business Development Coordinator Chauncey Holloman said. “Our goal is to equip our participants with the basics and enable them to leave our workshop confident and inspired in their ability to further develop their business concepts.”
Holloman, a successful entrepreneur herself, will share her story and encourage participants during her keynote at lunch.
The workshop is free, with registration required. Register at asbtdc.org/training or call 501.683.7700.
