Southwest Patrol Officers responded to the 5100 block of Young Road regarding a single vehicle collision. Upon arrival, they observed a Dodge Charger had struck a power pole. The driver, 19-year-old Elmer Tec-Pop, was unresponsive. MEMS responded and transported him to UAMS where he was later died. LRPD Supervisors responded and notified Accident Reconstruction Officers and next of kin was notified. 

Accident Reconstruction Officers responded to process the scene and take photographs, collect evidence, and take measurements. At this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed pending a comprehensive review. This investigation is ongoing.
