Keep Little Rock Beautiful

23 miles of roadways < 1119 bags of litter < 3,675 volunteer hours < 51,320 pounds of recycling

These are the astounding results from the 2013 Citywide Cleanup sponsored by Keep Little Rock Beautiful, during which more than 920 volunteers spent their Saturday morning cleaning up parks, neighborhood streets, and sidewalks. And now it’s time to do it again!

The 2014 Citywide Cleanup media kick off will take place at Western Hills Park (5207 Western Hills Avenue) in the historic Western Hills Neighborhood in Little Rock at 8 a.m. on March 8. Currently for the 2014 cleanup, there are more than 20 neighborhoods that have organized cleanups for 2014, and more than two dozen additional organizations and groups have volunteered.

Visit the EVENTS section at www.KeepLittleRockBeautiful.org to see all participating organizations or to register your own organization.

At Western Hills, Little Rock Mayor Mark Stodola will issue a proclamation about the citywide cleanup and highlight the work of the Western Hills Neighborhood Association volunteers, who continue to lead successful cleanup initiatives in the neighborhood.

There will also be a recycling trailer available at Western Hills Park during the Cleanup for volunteers to recycle plastic, aluminum and glass to help raise awareness about the recycling services offered by the City of Little Rock.

KLRB will also work in conjunction with the City of Little Rock Parks & Recreation Department to host organized cleanups at two other city parks on March 8, including Murray Park (5900 Rebsamen Park Road) and Interstate Park (3900 Arch Street).
