Cooking demonstration to be held at the Bill & Margaret Clark Room on December 13, 2008
LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (December 1, 2008) – Chef James Coulter from Forty Two in the William J. Clinton Presidential Center will be entertaining & enlightening River Market patrons for the next installment of the River Market Cooking Club on Saturday December 13, 2008. These popular monthly cooking demonstrations have been held at the Bill & Margaret Clark on the third floor of the River Market for the past nine years and have featured guest chefs from many of Little Rock’s finest restaurants. The demo will run from 9am-11am. The fee to attend the Cooking Club is $10.00, paid at the door.
Participants will watch as the chef shows off his culinary expertise, demonstrates signature recipes and answer questions from the audience. There will also be a sampling of the prepared food following the demonstration.
This will be the final date for the 2008 River Market Cooking Club. The 2009 lineup of chefs will be announced in January. Visit www.rivermarket.info to subscribe to the River Market’s email list and stay up-to-date with upcoming events & promotions.
Everyone is welcome to participate in the River Market Cooking Club, but space is limited to 50 participants per demo. Please contact the River Market office at (501) 375-2552 or email dhoffman@littlerock.gov to reserve your space.
Little Rock Parks and Recreation (LRPR) manages 50 parks, seven community centers, the Adult Leisure Center, Jim Dailey Fitness & Aquatic Center, four swimming pools, two tennis centers, the River Market, the Riverfest Amphitheatre, three golf courses, plus a catering service. That includes more than 5,000 acres of designated parks and open space. In addition, the organization offers a wide-range of youth and adult recreational and sports leagues, after-school and summer playground programs for children ages 6-15, outdoor activities, therapeutic recreation and programs for seniors. LRPR, which employs more than 400 dedicated and experienced people, is one of only 31 organizations in the entire United States to be accredited through the Commission for Accreditation of Parks and Recreation Agencies through the National Recreation and Park Association.
