Participants Get to Take Home Fire Extinguisher

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (November 10, 2016) –The Little Rock Fire Department will hold two fire extinguisher training classes for residents Saturday, Nov. 19. The free classes, one from 10 a.m. to noon and the second from 1 – 3 p.m., will be held at the Little Rock Fire Department Training Facility at 7000 Murray St.

There are 25 slots open for each class, to be filled on a first-come basis. Each participant will leave with the confidence and knowledge to identify the proper type of extinguisher and the proper method of using an extinguisher. Participants will also receive a free fire extinguisher to take home with them.

The extinguishers are provided through the Arkansas Fire Prevention Commission Fire Prevention Grant awarded to the Little Rock Fire Department in early 2016.
