Public Reception Dates for LRPD Chief Finalists Announced

An outreach program to allow the citizens of Little Rock to meet the three finalists competing to be the next Little Rock Police Chief begins in a week. A trio of public receptions will take place from 5:30pm to 7:00pm at The Centre at University Park, 6401 West 12th Street. These public functions will include an opportunity to visit informally with the candidates. In addition, there will be a presentation where the candidate will have a chance to make opening remarks before answering questions from the citizens present. The reception dates are as follows:


• May 8 - Eric Higgins, Assistant Chief of Police, Little Rock Police Department

• May 12 – Kenton Buckner, Assistant Chief of Police, Louisville Metro Police Department, Louisville KY

• May 15 – John Ray, Executive Chief Deputy, Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Worth TX
