In November 2003, City of Little Rock residents approved a bond issue proposal of $69 million, including an allocation of $8.1 million for resurfacing of asphalt streets over a three-year period. Little Rock Public Works will hold a series of public meetings during September to identify local streets to be resurfaced during the 2006 program in Wards 4, 5 and 7.

Improvements planned with the street resurfacing funds will include repairing street base failures, milling the existing surface, installing a new street surface and installation of pavement markings. The City of Little Rock is interested in public comments concerning the 2006 City of Little Rock Pavement Resurfacing Plan and has scheduled public meetings in the City for the following dates and times.

Streets proposed for resurfacing will be displayed on maps for public review. Personnel from the City of Little Rock will be available to assist you with any questions. The public is encouraged to take this opportunity to have questions answered, and to voice any comments, concerns or requests. The meetings are informal and attendance at anytime between the times specified is welcome. Public input is valuable, and participation is appreciated.
