LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – On Saturday, Oct. 17, Curran Conway Park will be the site of a pop-up dog park, a concept borrowed from the pop-up events around Central Arkansas that create a new space for a day.
Temporary fencing will be installed within the park to set up two enclosures for dogs to play. Residents – those with and without dogs – are welcome to the event, which will include both community and animal organizations.
In addition, adoptable dogs from the Little Rock Animal Village will be available for people to “borrow” at the event, with the hope that there will be plenty of on-site interaction and bonding between the pooches and their potential owners.
The Parks & Recreation Department’s master plan for Curran Conway Park includes the addition of a dog park with two enclosures, one for small dogs and one for larger ones.
