(March 21, 2008 - Little Rock) Little Rock Wastewater has recently applied and been accepted as a Partner in Education with Little Rock Central High School. A partnership is a ‘mutually supportive arrangement between a business and a school or school district, in which the partners commit to specific goals and activities intended to benefit students.’

Little Rock Wastewater (LRW) employees have volunteered to be judges at the Little Rock Central High Science Fair for the past 15 years. Because of this long standing commitment, LRW has decided to make the partnership official and recently applied to be a Partner in Education with the school. To broaden the scope of LRW’s relationship with the school, LRW has also dedicated employees to speak at Career Day, requested to sponsor a school bulletin board, and will establish a working relationship with science classes that would involve tours of the Fourche Creek Treatment Facility.

John Jarratt, Director of Administration and Community Relations of LRW was honored with a certificate commemorating the partnership on March 20, 2007 before the Little Rock School Board by Little Rock Central High School’s Principal, Nancy Rousseau.
