LITTLE ROCK – Trash and recycling collection in the City of Little Rock will be suspended Friday, Jan. 19, out of an abundance of caution as some residential streets remain too difficult for large trucks to navigate because of icy road conditions.
City offices will operate as normal on Friday.
Residential collections are likely to resume Monday. At that time, crews will pick up trash and recycling on that day's scheduled routes. Crews will not attempt to "catch up" on routes interrupted because of winter weather or the holiday, thus preventing any further delays in returning to a regular schedule.
Residents who have additional trash to be collected because their service was missed this week may place extra garbage in bags at curbside to be collected on the next scheduled pickup day. Likewise, if necessary, Waste Management recycling customers may place additional recyclable materials in a cardboard box next to their carts.
