NEW PARKING SYSTEM INSTALLED IN RIVER MARKET DISTRICT
Pay and Display Will Enable Drivers
To Use Cards and Change to Pay for Parking

Currently the signage in the River Market is being changed to indicate Pay and Display instead of 2 Hour Parking. While the signage is being switched, there will be no tickets written for the 2 Hour Time or for the Pay and Display.

For the remainder of this week (October 2 – October 4), Parking Enforcement personnel in the River Market District will be showing drivers how to use the new payment system. From Monday, October 7 through Friday, October 11, Parking Enforcement will begin issuing tickets when people have not paid to park or the payment has expired. However, this first week the tickets will only be warning tickets.
Beginning on Monday, October 14, Parking Enforcement will begin issuing tickets with fines for drivers who have not paid to park in the areas covered by the Pay and Display units. The Pay and Display hours will be Monday through Friday from 8am to 6pm.
