27th Class of City of Little Rock’s Small Business Training Program Receives Diplomas
(May 19, 2014)
Since 2001, the City of Little Rock has encouraged over 500 potential small business owners through and Entrepreneurial Training Course. Tonight, seventeen more graduates accept their diplomas.
Graduation will take place at the Willie Hinton Neighborhood Resource Center at 3805 West 12th Street in the first floor auditorium beginning at 7:00 p.m. A reception and business showcase will follow.
“We are proud to invest in this type of hands on training for our citizens,” said Chauncey Holloman spokesperson for the Little Rock Small Business Development Office “Partnering with the University of Arkansas’ Small Business and Technology Development Center has opened doors for our residents to take their new business acumen into our community to create jobs and help grow our economy.”
The course covers a variety of subject such as business concepts, feasibility, market analysis, pricing, and cash flow. During classes, participants create their own business plan and by the time they graduate, they have the tools to implement it.
The graduation is free and open to the public. For any additional information contact Chauncey Holloman at cholloman@littlerock.gov.
