From blenders to vacuums, see a new side to everyday items and find out what makes them work at “Constructive Destruction”, February 21-23 at the Museum of Discovery.

Celebrate National Engineer’s Week as you learn about every day objects by taking them apart. Engineers develop new technology that helps us work, live and play. Here’s your chance to look inside their creations.

Visitors will use tools ranging from screwdrivers to hammers and discover the hidden mechanics of familiar objects. Through a hands-on experience, visitors can take apart items to learn the science of engineering and discover the challenges engineers face when designing products.


ABOUT THE MUSEUM
Founded in 1927, The Museum of Discovery is Little Rock’s oldest museum. It remains a fixture of the River Market District in Downtown Little Rock attracting visitors of all ages. With over 25,000 square feet of hands-on, interactive exhibits, the Museum is a family destination “where you have worlds to discover.”


The Museum’s mission is to ignite a passion for science, technology and math in a dynamic, interactive environment. The Museum of Discovery is a Smithsonian Affiliate, accredited by the American Association of Museums and a member of the Association of Science and Technology Centers and the Association of Children’s Museums.

Admission is $8.00 for adults, $7.00 for children 1-12, $7.00 for seniors over 65 and free for children under one. Memberships are available.
