(Little Rock – April 14, 2009) Movies in the Park, the popular outdoor movie night at the Riverfest Amphitheater today announced a special showing of the movie Fried Green Tomatoes in conjunction with the Farmer’s Market 35th Anniversary festivities. It will show on April 22, starting at sundown.

Movies in the Park begins its fifth season this summer with weekly showings on Wednesday nights beginning June 3 and running through July 29.

Moviegoers are encouraged to bring families, picnics and pets to the park to enjoy an outdoor movie under the stars. The amphitheater will open an hour before film showings and movies will start at sundown each week. The movies are free and open to the public.

“Movies in the Park provides families the opportunity to explore downtown and enjoy a movie together,” said Shannon Light, River Market Manager. “We are grateful to the organizers for scheduling this special showing to help us celebrate the 35th anniversary of the Farmer’s Market.”
