Little Rock Police Officers responded to an early morning ShotSpotter activation at 16^th and Fillmore St on Tuesday, August 16, 2022.  The officers were advised by Communications that there were two shooting victims. Upon arrival, they found one victim suffering from gunshot wounds to the abdomen and left arm.  That victim, Amiya Elmore, 23, of Little Rock also advised she was pregnant and that her minor child that was hit by a round in the buttocks. She also mentioned she and her children were asleep on the couch when the sound of gunfire and bullets awakened them.   Elmore was transported to UAMS, subsequently her minor child was taken to Arkansas Children’s Hospital.  Both were listed in stable condition.  There were other victims in the house who were not injured and were able to give officers a description of the getaway vehicle.  A sergeant from the 12^th Street Division, Major Crimes, and the Crime Scene Search Unit responded to process the scene.
