On January 8, 2022, Little Rock Police Officers responded to UAMS in reference to a shooting report. Upon arrival, they were alerted the shooting victim succumbed to his injuries. The victim was later identified as Jadon Shackleford. 

On March 13, 2022, Homicide Detectives obtained arrest warrants for Jordan Parkinson who would eventually surrender to detectives at the 12^th Street Substation. He was charged with Capital Murder. Detectives continued to follow up on more leads and after months of investigating, detectives submitted arrest warrants for 17-year-old Grant Nichol and 18-year-old Evan Franklin on December 15, 2022.
