What: Media Only Preview of Bill Clark Wetlands
When: Thursday, September 29, 2011 – 2:30 p.m.
Where: Bill Clark Wetlands – Clinton Presidential Park
Vice Mayor Dean Kumpuris will personally give a preview tour of the new Bill Clark Wetlands on Thursday, September 29th at 2:30 p.m. This is a media only event. The Wetlands were built over the last year with a combination of private and public funds – including an American Recovery and Reinvestment grant. Vice Mayor Kumpuris was instrumental in seeing this vision of creating an educational and entertaining venue a reality.
During this preview, a life sized sculpture of Bill Clark will be unveiled. Created by artist Clay Enoch, the bronze sculpture depicted Clark with his dog calling in the ducks. Clark was well known for his love of the outdoors and his incredible generosity.
The Bill Clark Wetlands will be officially dedicated concurrently with the new Clinton Presidential ParkBridge on Friday.
