LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Nov. 9, 2015) – Sculptures made partially from recycled materials donated by Goodwill Industries will be featured at the first ever RecyclART fundraiser Thursday, Nov. 12, at StudioMAIN in Little Rock.

Proceeds from the event to celebrate #AmericaRecyclesDay will benefit the Keep Little Rock Beautiful school recycling grant program.

Artists were asked to submit sculptures for a contest, but with a catch: 50 percent of the materials they incorporated into their work had to be recycled. Goodwill Industries of Arkansas provided participating artists with a voucher for those materials, which could wind up being any found object an artist could imagine as part of the piece.

Guests at Thursday night’s event will get to vote on their favorite sculpture, with the winning artist receiving a $500 prize.

Food and drink will be provided by Hot Rod Wieners Food Truck and Stone’s Throw Brewing.

Tickets are $10 and are available through Keep Little Rock Beautiful board members or at the door.
