LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Sept. 8, 2015) – King Benningfield with the Little Rock Parks and Recreation Department will celebrate two milestones this month: Retiring from the City and turning 90 years old.

Benningfield came to work for the City in February 1998 at age 73, after most people have turned in their badges to embrace retirement. He has spent most of his 17-year career with Parks and Rec taking care of the facilities, landscape, and upkeep for Little Rock’s westernmost parks. Upon retirement, he plans to spend time with his family and work on his farmland.

Benningfield will be recognized for his service at tonight’s Board of Directors agenda meeting.
