WHAT:       The City of Little Rock will be hosting an investiture ceremony and reception for Little Rock Police Department (LRPD) Chief Kenton Buckner. Buckner will be officially presented with his Certified Law Enforcement Office certificate from the State of Arkansas. Chief Buckner will publicly wear his LRPD uniform for the first time at his investiture. Buckner’s mother, Jessye Torian, will be present to pin the chief’s badge on his uniform.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. (Aug. 26, 2014) – Kenton Buckner was sworn in as the Little Rock Police Department chief on June 30. The installation ceremony took place in City Hall. Thursday’s investiture will feature remarks from the Denver Police Department chief and the Louisville Metro Police Department deputy chief.
