WHAT:       AmeriCorps and the City of Little Rock will kick off the 2014-2015 “Love Your School” initiative. The program will be implemented at seven Little Rock School District elementary schools. “Love Your School” helps to combat the alarming increase in childhood obesity rates in Little Rock by delivering a combination of evidence-based programs that address nutrition instruction in the classroom. Participants will have access to enhanced in-the-garden student experiences, cooking classes for parents and additional programs.
