Sandbags, Maps on Possible Flooding Available to Residents

On Thursday, May 30, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Board of Directors Meeting Room, Mayor Frank Scott, Jr., Public Works Director Jon Honeywell, Fire Chief Delphone Hubbard, and Police Chief Keith Humphrey will brief the media and public on the impact of flooding on the Arkansas River. The briefing will be available via live stream at littlerock.gov and the City of Little Rock's Facebook page. 

Residents are urged to cal​l Public Works Operations at 501.918.3600 if they believe their home or business will need sandbags. Residents can also view which areas of the City may be flood-impacted by visiting littlerock.gov and following these steps:

  1. Click the far left box titled “Corps of Engineers Inundation Forecast” below the main photo slider.
  2. Once the site loads, click “2019 Event- Inundation Forecast.”
  3. Click “OK” on the disclaimer
  4. Enter your address. There you will be able to view how your property may be affected by flooding. Areas covered in green could possibly be affected.

These maps are subject to change and should be used for planning purposes ONLY.

 

Several areas throughout Little Rock are already closed:

  • River Mountain Road accessing the Two Rivers Pedestrian Bridge
  • Murray Park
  • Rebsamen Golf Course
  • Rebsamen Park Road

 

If you see a street or area closed, please do not move nor remove barriers to access the closed street or area.
