With community transmission of COVID-19 no longer deemed high risk according to metrics specified by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC), Mayor Frank Scott, Jr., has lifted restrictions placed on city facilities, including the requirement to wear masks indoors.

Additionally, boards and commissions will no longer be limited to virtual-only format meetings and will resume in-person meetings, effectively immediately. City facilities that were closed and programs suspended in January due the emergence of the Omicron variant, will resume.
