On Monday, the FBI issued a warning to all capital cities regarding the potential for protests leading up to the Inauguration on Wednesday, January 20, 2021. While the Little Rock Police Department has received no local credible threats, it is actively preparing for any possible attempt of violence in the capital city. Additionally, the City of Little Rock has neither received nor approved requests for permits for protests or other events to coincide with the presidential inauguration.

“Our police department will be at full force and has coordinated with local, state, and federal partners to ensure preparedness and vigilance,” Police Chief Keith Humphrey said. “And for the community, we want to remind them that if you see something, please say something.”

If you have information about plans for any type of criminal activity call the police department’s tip line 501-371-INFO (4636) or the FBI tip line 1-800-CALLFBI (225-5324).”
