THREE FINALISTS TO BE NEXT LITTLE ROCK CHIEF OF POLICE ANNOUNCED

LITTLE ROCK, ARKANSAS (April 28, 2014) – Little Rock City Manager Bruce T. Moore today announced the names of the three finalists to be the next Little Rock Police Chief.
The three finalists are (in alphabetical order):
• Kenton Buckner, Assistant Chief of Police
Louisville Metro Police Department, Louisville KY
• Eric Higgins, Assistant Chief of Police
Little Rock Police Department
• John Ray, Executive Chief Deputy,
Tarrant County Sheriff’s Office, Fort Worth TX

“We were very fortunate to have an impressive group of candidates for me to interview,” Moore said. “With the strong list of individuals, choosing the finalists was a difficult task. However after a careful review of the candidates, I am pleased to be able to narrow down the list to these three outstanding finalists.”
“I look forward to continuing to visit with each of the three in the coming weeks as I make the decision about the next individual to lead the outstanding men and women of the Little Rock Police Department,” Moore stated.
City staff will begin the process of scheduling public receptions for each of the candidates so that the citizens of Little Rock can meet each candidate. These receptions will give Little Rock residents the chance to participate in a question and answer session with each of the three candidates.
