(March 31, 2008 - Little Rock) Little Rock Wastewater has recently been recognized by the National Institute of Governmental Purchasing (NIGP) for its 30 years of “continued loyalty and support.”

Since 1944, the NIGP has been serving governmental purchasing professionals, and today the institute embraces more than 2,900 agencies and 14,000 professionals. NIGP is “committed to building a world in which public procurement professionals are recognized and respected for their dedication to public service and esteemed for the value they bring to their communities.”

March is National Purchasing Month; hence the recognition of 3 decades of support and accomplishment comes at an appropriate time. As a long-standing member, LRW realizes the value of NIGP and it’s services and will continue to support and carry on the fundamental beliefs of the organization which is to “develop, support and promote public procurement” and to provide it’s members with networking, development courses, online resources and research programs.
