Firefighter Ralph Nelson 501-590-3818 Firefighter Jarrod Gray 501-744-3490(Thursday, November 15, 2007) – Usually when firefighters visit a house, it is not for a positive reason. However, a group of Little Rock firefighters will be a welcome sight on Saturday, November 17.
Members of HOTTAR, Little Rock’s Chapter of the International Association of Black Professional Fire Fighters (IABPFF), will be delivering fifty (50) Thanksgiving baskets on that day between the hours of 10am and 3pm.
According to Firefighter Jarrod Gray, “We have received names of families in need from Mabelvale and Franklin Elementary Schools, Carver YMCA, and local churches. We view this as an extension of our commitment to serving others in the community. This is important to us as members of HOTTAR and as well as through the Little Rock Fire Department.”
HOTTAR, which stands for Helping Others To Teach All Responsibility, was founded in 1992.
