Little Rock Wastewater has been selected to receive two Gold Peak Performance Awards for both Fourche Creek Wastewater Treatment Facility and Adam’s Field Wastewater Treatment Facility. The Peak Performance Awards program presented by the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) recognizes public wastewater treatment facilities for their outstanding compliance records in the 2008 calendar year. NACWA was proud to recognize over 400 Peak Performance Award facilities during the Association’s 2009 Summer Conference and 39th Annual Meeting, held July 14-17, 2009 in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

The Gold Peak Performance Awards honor treatment facilities that have achieved 100 percent compliance with their NPDES permit for an entire calendar year. Adam’s Field Treatment Facility located near the Little Rock National Airport, and the Fourche Creek Treatment Facility near Fourche Dam Pike both were recognized for 100 percent compliance in 2008.

“This is an outstanding example of environmental efforts. NACWA is honored to showcase the achievements of Little Rock Wastewater and our nation’s public wastewater utilities through the Peak Performance Awards Program.” Ken Kirk, NACWA’s Executive Director.
