Little Rock Wastewater has been selected to receive 2 Gold Peak Performance Awards. The Peak Performance Awards program presented by the National Association of Clean Water Agencies (NACWA) recognizes public wastewater treatment facilities for their outstanding compliance records in the 2007 calendar year. NACWA recognized over 400 Peak Performance Award facilities during the Association’s 2008 Summer Conference and 38th Annual Meeting, held July 15-18, 2008 in Anchorage, Alaska where Little Rock Wastewater was also awarded an Environmental Achievement Award for the Can the Grease© program.

Little Rock Wastewater received 2 Peak Performance Awards which honor treatment facilities that have achieved 100 percent compliance with their NPDES permit for an entire calendar year.

Adam’s Field Treatment Facility located near the Little Rock National Airport, and the Fourche Creek Treatment Facility near Fourche Dam Pike both were recognized for 100 percent compliance in 2007.

“This is an outstanding example of environmental efforts. NACWA is honored to showcase the achievements of Little Rock Wastewater and the nation’s other public wastewater utilities through the Peak Performance Awards Program.” Ken Kirk, NACWA’s Executive Director. Reggie Corbitt, P.E., CEO of Little Rock Wastewater presented the two Peak Performance Awards to the Little Rock Sanitary Sewer Committee meeting that was held on August 20, 2008.
