(Little Rock AR—Thursday, August 3, 2007) Due to a tremendous request for tickets, the Little Rock Nine® Foundation Gala sold out several weeks ago. However, because of continued public interest for ways to participate, the Little Rock Nine ® Foundation announced overflow plans today.

“As we try to accommodate all the people who wish to join us, we are pleased to announce there will be an additional location where people can gather to experience this once in a lifetime evening,” said Little Rock Nine® Foundation President Carlotta Walls LaNier.

The Little Rock Nine® Foundation will be setting up an adjacent location in the Peabody Ballroom. Guests at this site will be able to see the event via closed circuit television while enjoying the same dinner as the guests in the Wally Allen Ballroom. Tickets for the Peabody event will cost $200.

“Though this will not be in the same room, we are pleased to be able to offer this opportunity to the numerous people who want to participate in the first Little Rock Nine Foundation® Gala and Scholarship Awards,” said LaNier. “Since we announced the Gala was sold out, people have repeatedly requested that we set up a second location. We are pleased to be able to do this.”
