(Little Rock, Ark. – February 25, 2015) – More than 14,000 athletes and 40,000 spectators will take to the streets on Sunday, March 1st for the Little Rock Marathon, presented by the Arkansas Democrat Gazette — and many of those streets will be closed for part of the day to create a safe environment for participants both on and off the course.
“These closures provide a safe environment for runners and spectators, as well as the least amount of inconvenience to residents and businesses in our community,” said Gina Marchese Pharis, Co-Executive Director of the Little Rock Marathon. “We appreciate the support from everyone who makes this epic event possible.”
The following times and locations for street closures are listed below:

6:00 am President Clinton from River Market to I-30
(Cars may park along-side fence from Sherman to I-30 after fence installs until Friday 6:00 pm)
6:00 am Capitol St. at Scott to Ferry
(Re-open intersections once fence installed).
7:00 am One Lane closure on La Harpe from State St. to Statehouse Convention Center

Sunday, March 2, 2014 – Reopening
Roads open up as participants go through the course. The entire course should be open for traffic at approximately 3 pm.
