“The Little Rock Marathon and Simmons Bank share a commitment of serving our community.” said Nancy Green, Little Rock Marathon chair. "We are pleased to be working with this wonderful organization to help others give back to the community and experience a 14-year tradition in Little Rock."
“Volunteerism is a way of life at Simmons Bank,” said Tabitha Doddridge, director of public relations and sponsorship development for Simmons Bank. “Each year, hundreds of our employees donate their time and energy in order to give back to the community. Because of this, we are proud to be the presenting sponsor a program that promotes volunteerism at one of Arkansas’ biggest events.”
Doddridge will serve as the volunteer ambassador for the marathon this year.
The 14th Annual Little Rock Marathon Race Weekend, presented by the Arkansas Democrat-Gazette, is slated for March 4 – 6 in downtown Little Rock and benefits Little Rock Parks & Recreation.
Race weekend includes a two-day health and fitness trade show; the Little Rock Marathon; the Little Rock Half Marathon, presented by Baptist Health; the Little Rock 10K, presented by Windstream Communications; the Little Rock 5K Fun Run/Walk and the Little Rockers Kids Marathon Final Mile, presented by Delta Dental of Arkansas.
Volunteers play a critical role in generating fun and excitement. With many areas of opportunity to volunteer, the Let’s Go Volunteer Program, presented by Simmons Bank, gives anyone the chance to see the race close up. More than 3,500 volunteers lend a hand annually to help execute all the Little Rock Marathon events.
