LITTLE ROCK, AR – The Little Rock Fire Department will hold a fire truck dedication ceremony for Battalion Chief Edward Karriem at 10 a.m. Saturday, Sept. 11, 2021, at Fire Station #12 (7003 Cantrell Road).

Chief Karriem responded to a house fire at 9925 Stardust Trail, Saturday, Feb. 13, 2021, at 10:52 a.m. After the fire was extinguished, Chief Karriem, 41, was observed to be unresponsive in his Command vehicle. Chief Karriem faithfully served this city and the Division of Fire Services for 17 years. The Department extends its sincerest thanks to his family, loved ones and friends. We will never forget Chief Edward Karriem.
