WHAT:	An awards and recognition ceremony will honor several members of the Little Rock Fire Department , including a Firefighter of the Year, Outstanding Recruit of the Year, the Allen L. Wayne Humanitarian Award, and Gavin D. Wright Resilience Award, among other honors.

LITTLE ROCK, Ark. – The Little Rock Fire Department is holding an awards banquet and recognition ceremony at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 9, to honor personnel and units for their outstanding efforts in 2016.

The awards ceremony is the first for the Fire Department and is an opportunity to recognize those who go above and beyond in their positions to protect lives and property for the residents of Little Rock.

The event will take place at the Clinton Presidential Center.

The Little Rock Fire Department is made up of 20 fire stations, with 400 employees in five divisions.
