(Little Rock – April 13, 2009) Supporters of the Little Rock Animal Village are asking people to Rock and Roll for the animals of the Little Rock Animal Village on April 30, 2009.

That evening they will host the “You Ain’t Nothin But A Hound Dog” Dinner and a Special Night with a Tribute to Elvis (introducing Tony Witt), will be a fund raising event for The Little Rock Animal Village. Organizers are promising an unforgettable evening.

All of the funds raised at this event will be used to purchase furnishings and equipment for the Animal Village’s two new additions, the Education Room and Veterinarian Clinic. The Education Room will have a library of animal educational materials, as well as a meeting room.

The meeting room will be used for volunteer training, school field trips, children’s birthday parties and where staff will teach children and adults about the care of animals and responsibilities of pet ownership. The Veterinarian Clinic will be a state-of-the-art facility to insure the best care will be given for the stray and unwanted animals of our City while awaiting adoption.

According to City Director Joan Adcock, “The evening will feature many opportunities for fun, and for fundraising. Would you like to dedicate a song to someone? How about having a special song sung to your table? The dream can come true!”

“All Elvis impersonators are welcome,” continued Director Adcock. “The audience will be the judge. There will be prizes for first and second place winners. In addition, there will be a chance to sing your favorite Elvis song on stage, with the audience again being the judge. We will have first and second place prizewinners in this as well. There will also be door prizes and a silent and live auction.”

The event will be held in the Grand Ball Room at the Little Rock Peabody Hotel. The MC will be Craig O’Neal. So mark your calendar for Thursday, April 30 from 6:30 until 9:00 for dinner and a fabulous show.

Tickets: $50.00 per person or $500.00 for a reserved table of 10. They can be ordered by calling the Animal Village at 501-376-3067.
