LIST TO BE NEXT LR PARKS LEADER NARROWED TO THREE
Little Rock, AR (31 January 2006) Three individuals are one step closer to being named the new Director for Little Rock Parks and Recreation. After interviewing eight candidates this month, City Manager Bruce Moore has announced three finalists.
In alphabetical order, the three are:
• Ken Smith--Executive Director, Audubon Arkansas
• Truman Tolefree--Director, Bureau of Recreation, Atlanta, GA
• Mark Webre--Interim Director, Little Rock Parks and Recreation
“The applicants that I interviewed were outstanding,” Moore said. “These three distinguished themselves with their commitment and vision. In the coming weeks, I will bring each in for an intensive interview process including opportunities for them to meet with the public.”
The new Director of Little Rock Parks and Recreation will succeed Bryan Day, who was named Little Rock’s Assistant City Manager in 2005.
