LITTLE ROCK, Arkansas (August 9, 2013) – Race officials recently announced today that KARK Channel 4 has renewed its sponsorship of the Little Rock Marathon Training Program.
The Little Rock Marathon Training Program is a free running/walking program created to prepare individuals who plan to take part in one of the races next March and is a project of Little Rock Parks & Recreation. Bill Torrey’s Rock City Running will join KARK in sponsoring the 2014 Training Program.
"KARK has supported our efforts since inception, so its community-minded spirit matches perfectly with our mission," said Nancy Green, Little Rock Marathon Chairman. "KARK provides an ideal flagship pre-race education for the thousands training for this year's race."

"Whether you're walking or running, whether you're a beginner or advanced... there's a training program for you. It's really about setting and achieving goals, and living a healthy lifestyle. That's what really matters."
The “build up” training program is currently underway with the program’s first official group training will be Saturday, September 16.
