LITTLE ROCK, AR ­­­– Hostelling Arkansas, Inc. is having its annual fundraiser, Destination Arkansas 2009. Raising money to preserve and renovate the Old Firehouse # 2, into Little Rock’s first international hostel. Destination Arkansas is being held in historic MacArthur Park at the future Firehouse Hostel and the Arkansas Arts Center.

Destination Arkansas: Connecting With The World, honors Fred Poe: a true guiding light in the travel industry. Fred has shared his wit and passion of the world with many a traveler throughout the years. The evening will begin at the future Firehouse Hostel & Museum with cocktails and silent auction. Take an aerial ride in a Firefighters bucket truck, see the vision of the MacArthur Park Master Plan as we end the evening with music and a casual dinner with Fred at The Arkansas Arts Center.
