Southwest patrol officers responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian collision near the intersection of Geyer Springs and Young Road. When officers arrived, they discovered an unresponsive black male lying in the roadway. MEMS responded to the scene and transported him to a local hospital where he was later succumbed to his injuries.  Patrol supervisors notified the reconstruction unit who responded to process the scene and take photographs, collect evidence, and take measurements. Next of kin has not been notified. At this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed pending a comprehensive review. This investigation is ongoing.
