On Friday, November 15, 2024, Southwest Patrol Officers with the Little Rock Police Department responded to a vehicle vs. pedestrian, collision at 9021 Chicot Road. When officers arrived, they observed a deceased individual, later identified as 34-year-old Crystal Lopez. Officers later identified the driver of the vehicle involved, 67-year-old Lee Alexander. Subsequently, officers notified Accident Reconstruction Officers and Alexander was questioned. The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office responded and transported the deceased victim to the Arkansas State Crime Lab, and next of kin was notified. 

Accident Reconstruction Officers responded to process the scene and take photographs, collect evidence, and take measurements. At this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed pending a comprehensive review. This investigation is ongoing.
