Southwest patrol officers responded to a vehicle vs. motorcycle accident that occurred at 5405 Baseline Road at 7:00 p.m., on February 23, 2023.  When they arrived, they discovered the driver of the motorcycle, 18-year-old Gustavo Gomez unresponsive and determined to be deceased as a result of his injuries. The Pulaski County Coroner’s Office responded and took possession of Mr. Gomez’s body. The driver of the vehicle, 29-year-old Michell Martinez, provided a urine sample for toxicology testing in accordance with State Law. 

Accident Reconstruction Officers were called and responded to process the scene and take photographs, collect evidence, and take measurements. At this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed pending a comprehensive review. This investigation is ongoing and next of kin was notified.
