On September 11, 2022, Southwest Patrol officers responded to 8510 Scott Hamilton Drive in reference to a vehicle collision with a female pedestrian. MEMS responded and the pedestrian was taken to UAMS where medical aid was rendered aid but died as a result of her injuries. There were two vehicles involved in the collision with the pedestrian, Joe Davis and Victoriana Solis, both of Little Rock. Davis met with officers and provided a statement as well as a urine sample.  A bilingual officer wasn’t available therefore, Solis will be contacted later by officers so that he can provide a statement.

Accident Reconstruction Officers were called along with the Crime Scene Search Unit to take photographs, collect evidence, and take measurements.  Based on preliminary information, Davis’ vehicle struck the pedestrian first.  At this point in the investigation, no charges have been filed pending a comprehensive review. This investigation is ongoing and next of kin has not been notified.

Update:

The next of kin of the pedestrian has been identified. The pedestrian was Pamela Miller (W/F 12/01/1965), of Little Rock, AR.
